Technique Tuesday: 3 Environmental Cues to Fix Your Push-Ups

Push-ups can get really ugly really fast if they’re not coached properly. And often times we use push-ups with beginners because their fairly basic – or so it’s thought.

Push-ups are actually pretty tough, and if you overload a beginner with tons of verbal cues (i.e. “tuck your elbows,” “make a double chin,” “brace your abs,” just to name a few), they can get overwhelmed and frustrated.

This week’s Technique Tuesday features three environmental cues that require no words and helps the athlete figure out right vs. wrong on their own. Check it out:
