I’m psyched to announce that this fall I’ll be interning at Cressey Sports Performance in Hudson, Massachusetts. If you’ve ever read this blog before, you know that Eric Cressey has been a huge influence on me from day one. Eric and his crew are the best of the best when it comes to strength and conditioning for baseball, and Eric’s articles immediately resonated with me back in 2006 when I was a college baseball player looking for ways to get stronger. I’m absolutely honored to hone my coaching skills at CSP.
I’ve had several friends go through the CSP internship program, and for years I’ve wanted to get involved, but until now, I’d struggled to justify leaving my full-time desk job to take an internship. But after an inspiring conversation with Megan Young, a strength coach at Auburn, I finally realized that, as she said, with big risk comes big reward. So today I gave my resignation at Brown University and I’ll be spending September through the end of December working with some of the best strength coaches in the business.
I can’t wait to finally dive in headfirst and make strength and conditioning my full-time focus. I’ll be sure to chronicle my experiences on the blog and share my newfound knowledge. Stay tuned!
P.S. – In case you’ve been living under a rock, here’s what CSP is all about:
