ThePTDC – How to Design Better Warm Ups for Small Group Training Programs

kneeling glute mobsWe’re best known for training baseball players at Cressey Sports Performance, so not everyone knows that we also run a kickass bootcamp-style group exercise program called CSP Strength Camps.

I credit much of my growth as a coach to shadowing Strength Camp coordinator George Kalantzis during bootcamp as an intern. He taught me that personal training is one thing, but providing high-quality coaching to up to 20 people at a time is an entirely different challenge.

George does a phenomenal job with empowering our CSP interns by letting them lead warm-ups during Strength Camp. That’s where I essentially learned to adapt our CSP warm-up model and apply it to a small group setting. And that’s exactly the topic of my latest article for the Personal Training Development Center.

If you’re a coach who runs small group training sessions and need a template for your warm-ups, you’ve gotta read this article. You’ll provide your clients with a comprehensive, head-to-toe warm-up in under 10 minutes, leading to safer and more effective workouts. Check it out:
