You may have heard the following rumors about post-workout nutrition:

  • You MUST eat food or drink a shake as fast as possible after working out
  • If you miss your post-workout meal, the “anabolic window” closes up and your workout will be wasted
  • You need lots of carbs post-workout to spike insulin
  • Eating whole food is just as good as drinking a protein shake
