As a lifter and a coach, you have to keep an open mind. Case in point: I have a running list of exercises that I used to hate but now kinda like. The more I learn, the more often I realize that an exercise I once passed off as wimpy or useless might actually be pretty awesome.
Bear crawls are a prime example. I used to think crawling around on the floor couldn’t possibly make you stronger or more athletic. But once I got wise to their benefits, I saw the light. Now I use them with myself and nearly all my clients within the warm-up or strength portion of their workout.
